Reverse of the one-forint Kossuth note, 1848
The back of the one-forint note warns that forgers and imitators will be punished with up to eight years in prison, and says it five times: in Hungarian, German and Slovak, in Serbian in Latin letters and in Romanian in Cyrillic. The Hungarian government of 1848 addressed its money to the kingdom's peoples in their own languages, and Serbian was one of them.
