One-kreuzer copper coin, Vienna, 1851
A copper kreuzer of 1851 with the mint letter A of Vienna under the date, struck for Franz Joseph in the first years of his reign. The reverse carries the double-headed eagle and the legend “K.K. OESTERREICHISCHE SCHEIDEMÜNZE”, imperial and royal Austrian change money. In the convention standard sixty of these made a gulden, and they were the small money of the market in Neusatz as everywhere in the empire.
