A warning about glanders in horses
A public health order for Ujvidék, printed in Hungarian, Serbian Cyrillic and German. It warns that glanders, already serious among army horses, has appeared in the town's horse hospitals and is dangerous to people as well as animals, and sets out what owners, innkeepers and carters must do: report sick animals, keep them out of shared stables and inn yards, avoid common troughs and feed, disinfect harness and vehicles, and keep civilian horses away from military stabling. Penalties of up to two months and 600 crowns are named.
