The distillery sign on the gable
1895–1918
The caption is Hungarian while the distillery's own painted sign across the gable is German, so the town's official naming and the firm's own advertising sat in different languages on one card. The sign is for the same brothers' cognac, slivovitz and marc distillery whose German trade notice is held elsewhere in this archive. It fills the whole gable end above the trees, and a handwritten message runs along the bottom of the picture.
