Greetings from Sremska Kamenica, with a Danube Paddle Steamer
A double stacked paddle steamer passes on the Danube below the town of Kamenitz, whose church spires and a large hillside building rise above the rooftops. The card's German and Cyrillic greeting was published by J. Singer, court photographer of Ujvidek, a title that could not be held after 1918.

About this place
A settlement on the Fruska Gora side of the Danube, upstream of Petrovaradin and now part of Novi Sad. Cards sell it as Luftkurort Kamenitz, an air resort, and it was reached from the town by steamer. The imperial and royal infantry cadet school stood here, and the Serbian Orthodox church appears on cards captioned Kamenica in Serbian, Kamanc in Hungarian and Kamenitz in German.
