The caption is German alone and does two things at once, naming the imperial and royal infantry cadet school and advertising the village below it as an air-cure resort, so one card sold a garrison and a health spa together. It was published by the court photographer J. Singer, who worked in the town across the river rather than in the village itself.
About this place
A settlement on the Fruska Gora side of the Danube, upstream of Petrovaradin and now part of Novi Sad. Cards sell it as Luftkurort Kamenitz, an air resort, and it was reached from the town by steamer. The imperial and royal infantry cadet school stood here, and the Serbian Orthodox church appears on cards captioned Kamenica in Serbian, Kamanc in Hungarian and Kamenitz in German.
