The Convent of the School Sisters of Our Lady
A long two-storey building lines the right side of a street, its ground floor banded with rustication and its upper windows capped with cornices, and its tall gable wall rises above a single-storey house in the foreground. That house has a panelled double door under an arched surround and tall windows in moulded frames. A figure in a long dark dress walks along the pavement, and across the street a row of single-storey houses, the nearest with small pediments over its windows, runs to a bend. The heading printed in red names the convent of the School Sisters of Our Lady in Ujvidék, the Hungarian name of Novi Sad. The sisters, a Catholic teaching congregation, kept their convent and girls' school in Andrássy Street, today's Njegoševa. The card was posted in the town on 29 December 1911.
