A traditional wooden well sweep (đeram) and masonry well stand on open ground in Rumenačka Street. Low houses and outbuildings remain behind them, while a multi-storey residential block and tower crane rise in the background.
About this place
A street running north-west out of the city towards the village of Rumenka, from which it takes its name. It formed part of the boundary between the growing interwar and postwar districts of Detelinara and Banatić, and it crossed the railway corridor on that side of the city at a level crossing. A crossing on the line between the passenger station and the old locomotive depot survived here until December 2021.
