The cadet school at Kamenitz printed in blue monochrome, its long three-storey front running the width of the card with a pedimented centre, and the whole corps drawn up in line across the open ground before it. The greeting is overprinted twice in ornamental script, in Hungarian and in German. Published by Fischel of Nagy-Kanizsa.
About this place
A settlement on the Fruska Gora side of the Danube, upstream of Petrovaradin and now part of Novi Sad. Cards sell it as Luftkurort Kamenitz, an air resort, and it was reached from the town by steamer. The imperial and royal infantry cadet school stood here, and the Serbian Orthodox church appears on cards captioned Kamenica in Serbian, Kamanc in Hungarian and Kamenitz in German.
