Entry of the Serbian army to Novi Sad
The Serbian army enters Novi Sad in November 1918. Mounted men and horse-drawn guns and limbers move down the street, several of them dressed with green branches, while crowds stand deep along both pavements and press into the roadway to watch. An electric tram is halted at the kerb among the people, flags hang from the buildings, and the shopfront at the upper left is lettered BRITTIG MARTIN, its windows papered over with posters.
On the card
