A card of three panels, each captioned in Cyrillic. The first shows the Serbian church, a baroque building with two towers, one carrying a clock and both under onion domes. The second shows the Serbian school, a long single-storey range behind young trees. The third shows the commune building, a low arcaded house with a tall cross and monument standing before it. The panels are hand-coloured.
About this place
A settlement on the Fruska Gora side of the Danube, upstream of Petrovaradin and now part of Novi Sad. Cards sell it as Luftkurort Kamenitz, an air resort, and it was reached from the town by steamer. The imperial and royal infantry cadet school stood here, and the Serbian Orthodox church appears on cards captioned Kamenica in Serbian, Kamanc in Hungarian and Kamenitz in German.
