Hungarian Reformed Church
A church with a tall square tower rises to a pyramidal spire topped by a cross, with a round window set partway up the tower's height. The nave beside it has a steep roof and a row of tall arched windows, with a smaller gabled porch and rounded doorway at the base of the tower. The forecourt is unpaved bare earth strung with wooden fence posts and wire, and a handful of small figures stand near the entrance while low houses continue the street beyond.
About this place
A district southwest of the centre, along the Danube. Its name is the Hungarian word for a settlement or colony and it is used in Serbian and Hungarian alike. The Hungarian Reformed congregation built its church here after 1918, and one of the archive's cards names the place directly: Ref. templom a Telepen, the Reformed church in Telep.
