Ten-fillér War Aid stamp of Hungary, 1916
The 10 fillér of Hungary's third war-aid series, issued from November 1916. The earlier war-aid stamps were overprints; here the surcharge is part of the design, as 2 FILLÉR HADISEGÉLY, two fillér of war aid, under the value, paid on top of the postage. MAGYAR KIRÁLYI POSTA stands at the top of the frame. Tekniska museet describes the scene as a hussar in a trench. The series had three values, 10, 15 and 40 fillér.
