Reverse of the fifty-gulden Banco-Zettel, 1806
The reverse of the 1806 fifty-gulden note gives the value in five languages down the middle of the sheet, beginning with “Fünfzig Gulden” and ending with “Cinquanta fiorini”, above “Wiener Stadt-Banko-Zettel” in a panel at the foot. The face shows through in mirror image, a pale patch of wear marks the top, and pencilled inventory numbers stand beside it.
