One-gulden redemption note, Vienna, 1811
An Einlösungs-Schein for one gulden, dated Vienna, 1 March 1811, and signed as president by Count Rudolph Wrbna. After the state bankruptcy of that year these redemption notes replaced the Banco-Zettel at one fifth of their face value, and the paper gulden they created, the Wiener Währung, became the everyday money of Neusatz and the rest of the monarchy. The corners give the value as “Ein Gulden”, “Egy forint”, “Geden zlatý” and “Jeden Ryński”, and the digits of 1811 are spread along the ornament at the foot.
