Ten-gulden note of the Austro-Hungarian Bank, 1880
Ten gulden of the Austro-Hungarian Bank, dated Vienna, 1 May 1880, series 3011, from the first issue of the bank that the 1878 settlement between Vienna and Budapest made out of the old National Bank. Its promise is to pay the bearer at once, at its head offices in Vienna and Budapest, ten gulden of Austrian currency in lawful coin. Two women's heads in medallions flank the text, the bank's monogram sits between the words “ZEHN ZEHN” at the foot, and the other side carries the same promise in Hungarian, for the kingdom where Neusatz lay.
