Pharmacy in the centre
1950s
The ground floor is lettered in large Cyrillic capitals for a people's pharmacy, and it is numbered the second, so the trade had been nationalised into a numbered chain by the time this was taken. A wooden telephone kiosk stands at the kerb with men leaning their bicycles against it, and the tram rails still run along the street.
