The card was printed in Vienna, so a Viennese publisher was already issuing views of the town in 1899. The hotel is named in Hungarian and again in French on the caption, the beer hall under it is signed in Hungarian, Serbian and German all three, and a shop under the arcade carries a Hungarian name with the surname first. The cafe terrace is out under awnings and horse cabs are drawn up in the square. Someone has written across the caption in Hungarian that they had coffee and ice cream here, and signed it Etelka.
