Buying a ticket on the bus
Inside a bus. A conductor in a peaked cap and dark uniform sits sideways at a small desk behind a chrome guard rail, handing a ticket across to a young man in a tweed jacket and tie who stands in the aisle counting coins. Chrome handrails and stanchions run the length of the saloon, the floor is ribbed rubber matting and printed notices are fixed above the windows.
