Copper thirty-kreuzer piece of Emperor Francis I, 1807
A copper thirty-kreuzer piece of 1807, half a gulden in the paper money of the Napoleonic wars. Its lettering says what it was for: an inner ring names it a coin for dividing the Vienna City Bank's notes, copper change for a currency of paper, and the outer ring reads “DREYSSIG KREUTZER” with the date. The emperor's head on the obverse, framed by the numeral 30 in a diamond of pellets, is worn almost away.
