The State Civic Girls' School, printed in blue
A long two-storey school building runs down the street in this blue-toned print, its frieze lettered with the school's name, and a baroque church tower rises beyond its far end. About twenty small dark figures stand along the pavement below the windows, several of them in hats, and a cart stands in the street at the left. In the foreground at the right, a lower house with pedimented window heads carries a lantern on an iron bracket. The card came from the postcard office of Ágoston Herger's department store in Novi Sad, whose imprint runs up the left margin. The school building went up in 1895 on Andrássy utca, today Njegoševa 22, and houses the Svetozar Marković Gymnasium today.
