Novi Sad Theatre, with a Garden Restaurant and Carriage
The theatre's corner tower and cupola rise over a garden restaurant laid with tables, a carriage waiting at the entrance. The heading is trilingual: Новосадско позориште in Cyrillic, Újvidéki Szinház in Hungarian, Neusatzer Theater in German. Both the Hungarian and Cyrillic credit lines name the publisher as J. Singer, court photographer of Újvidék.

About this place
The Dunđerski Theatre, built between 1892 and 1895 to plans by Vladimir Nikolić and squeezed into the courtyard of the Hotel Elisabeth, later the Queen Mary and today the Vojvodina. It held about 600 people and burned down on 23 January 1928. It is not the Serbian National Theatre, which stands today on the ground where Jewish Street ran.
