Behind the counter at Stoteks
An elevated view down onto a long glass topped counter inside a shop, its cases packed with boxed goods and the shelves behind stacked with more. A saleswoman in a white coat and headband works at a till in the middle of the run, a customer in a white blouse and dark skirt leans over the case at the left, and a second counter recedes beyond with display stands and a stair at the back of the room. The store is the department store the Ljubljana architect Milan Mihelič designed in 1972 for the Stoteks trading company, at Bulevar Mihajla Pupina 1; it was called Novi Sad until 1984 and is known today as Bazar.
