Women Selling Produce at the Street Market
Women sit along the pavement behind wicker baskets of produce, with buyers standing among them. The street is lined by a long, tall building with arched upper windows and iron balconies, a low house with a tiled roof and a building with pedimented windows and a rusticated ground floor, their shop boards reading BAZAR, SCHÄFFER PÉTER and KOHN FÜLÖP és TÁRSA. At the left two enclosed horse-drawn coaches with windows along their sides wait by the pavement, a horse harnessed to the nearer one. It is a market day on the town's main street, today Zmaj Jovina.
