The Camel Inn (Гостионица код камиле)
1900–1918
The fascia is Cyrillic alone, with no Hungarian version, so a Serbian inn signed itself only to Serbian readers under Hungarian administration, and a painted camel over the corner door does the same work for anyone who could not read either. Some sixty people are drawn up along the front for the photographer, and a horse cart at the end is the only vehicle in sight.
