The caption pairs Hungarian with Serbian Cyrillic, naming the same electric works in both, so the card was printed for a town that read both scripts. A single electric car stands on the track that runs into the site, which shows the generating station and the tramway shared the same ground.
About this place
Novi Sad's city power plant began delivering electricity in 1910, meeting one of the preconditions for the electric tram network that opened on 30 September 1911. The bombing of a power plant in 1944, during the Second World War, knocked the tram service out of operation. The trams themselves ran until 1958, when buses replaced them.
