Students of the Novi Sad Aircraft Mechanic School, 1943
About sixty young men in military uniform, with a winged propeller badge on their berets and a smaller one on each collar point, pose in front of an ivy-covered building. Three rows stand, a fourth sits on chairs, and four more are on the ground in front, two lying on their sides and two sitting cross-legged. A lantern hangs on the wall above them, and two of the seated men wear medals. A caption written in ink along the foot of the print names them as the pupils of classroom 2/II of the aircraft mechanic school of Ujvidék, the Hungarian name of Novi Sad, and gives the year 1943, when the town was under Hungarian rule.
