# Hotel Pera Fabry

Also called: Hotel Pera Fabri, Pera Fabry szálloda.

The Hotel Pera Fabry stood on Dunavska street at the corner of Žarka Vasiljevića, opposite the Danube Park near the river end of the street. An account of the ten-year reunion of the graduates of 1876 of the Serbian Grand Gymnasium places it in 1886 in the hotel Pera Fabri, in a room with a balcony over Dunavska. In 1900 a new building in the eclectic style went up there as the hotel Pera Fabri, in place of an older house repaired in the early 1850s after the bombardment of 1849. It turned the corner with two street wings and a short yard wing around a small courtyard, and it was reconstructed in 1916. In 1914 Ede Diamant ran it, with 24 rooms and a coffee house. The building now belongs to the army complex at Dunavska 33. This archive's postcards show HOTEL PERA FABRY across its front, and a card of 1919 adds the name of the proprietor, Zapletal Károly.
