# The Merchant Youths' Home on Horthy Miklós Avenue, 1943

The Merchant Youths' Home turns the corner of Horthy Miklós Avenue, as Queen Mary Boulevard was called under the occupation, its rounded front rising in bands of windows to the reclining figure of Mercury on the roof. A pharmacy signed GYÓGYSZERTÁR occupies the ground floor at the corner. The building runs away along the avenue behind a row of street trees with the neighbouring apartment blocks beyond, and a few pedestrians cross the paving in front. The card is dated 22 September 1943.
