# The Wrecked Road Bridge in the Danube, Novi Sad, 1941

A collapsed steel truss span leans at a sharp angle into the Danube, its far end still resting on a pier while the near end has dropped into the water. Bare trees and rooftops line the far bank. A mooring post and chain are visible in the foreground. The source dates the photograph to 1941 and identifies the wreckage as the destroyed road bridge at Novi Sad.
