# Two-gulden anticipation note, Vienna, 1813

An Anticipations-Schein for two gulden, issued under the patent of 16 April 1813, when Austria was arming to rejoin the war against Napoleon. The name says what it was, money raised in advance on revenue still to come, and its text promises that these notes will be paid off out of the land tax. The corners give the value as “Zwey Guld.”, “Két forint”, “Dwa zlatý” and “Dwa Ryński”, and the note is signed by Count Rudolph Wrbna as president, like the redemption notes before it.
