# Ruined hangar with a collapsed canopy at the bombed Novi Sad airfield

A reinforced concrete canopy has come down against the wall of a hangar at the Novi Sad airfield, one slab leaning at an angle with its reinforcing bars laid open. The brickwork below it has been blown out and the rubble swept into stacks along the wall. Young trees stand at the corner and the window frames are of the 1940s. The field was bombed in April 1941, after which the occupiers laid an 800 metre concrete runway across it.
