# Guard Formation at the Belgrade Gate, Petrovaradin Fortress, 1900

The Belgrade Gate's stone archway at Petrovaradin Fortress, a small crowd at the entrance and uniformed men in formation along the fence to the right. Captioned in German, 'Gruss aus der Festung Peterwardein, Hauptwache beim Belgrader Festungsthor' (Greetings from Peterwardein Fortress, the main guard post at the Belgrade Gate), published by Josef Schindler of Neusatz. Schindler also issued the view with the imprint Ujvidék (Neusatz), and a copy of that printing is dated in ink 14 April 1899.
