# Petrovaradin Fortress and the Sterijino Pozorje Sign, 1965

Petrovaradin Fortress rises above the Danube, its clock tower visible at the left and the words STERIJINO POZORJE lettered across the escarpment below the ramparts, naming the theatre festival held in the city. Older buildings with tiled roofs stand at the foot of the hill, one with its own small spire, and a low fortified river wall runs along the bank.
