# Six-krajczár silver coin of Hungary, Nagybánya, 1849

A six-krajczár piece of 1849 in low-grade silver, struck at Nagybánya, whose letters N.B. stand under the date, for the Hungarian government in the last months of the war of independence. The reverse spells the value out in Hungarian, “HAT KRAJCZÁR”, six krajczár, and the obverse carries the crowned arms of Hungary between “6.” and “K.” with the legend “MAGYAR KIRÁLYI VÁLTÓ PÉNZ”. Hungary surrendered at Világos in August 1849, and its revolutionary coinage ended with it.
