# A waiter outside the Lipa restaurant

A waiter in a long white apron stands at the entrance of the Lipa restaurant in Miletićeva Street, one of Novi Sad's long-running historic inns. The façade is arranged symmetrically around the entrance, with plants displayed behind the large windows and advertisements for Vajfert beer running above them. The establishment had developed from the older German-named inn Linde or Zur Linde and occupied the same property in the former Lebarski sokak, today's Svetozara Miletića Street. Municipal records document Đura Zurković as tenant of the Lipa restaurant at Miletićeva 7 in 1925, while interwar almanacs continue to list Lipa in the same street. In 1935 Radovan Čonkić was advertising himself as restaurateur at Lipa, Miletićeva 7.
