# Silver florin of Franz Joseph, 1892

A silver gulden of 1892, with the laureate head of Franz Joseph and the double-headed eagle over “1 FL”, struck in the year the currency reform introduced the korona at two to the gulden. The legend runs on from his Austrian title to his titles as king of Hungary, Bohemia, Galicia, Lodomeria and Illyria. The florin stayed in circulation beside the new money until the end of the decade, so a purse in Neusatz in the 1890s could hold both.
