# The former Banovina Palace, Novi Sad, under Hungarian occupation

The former Danube Banovina administration palace, with its tall stepped tower, stretches along the avenue where cars are parked and pedestrians cross the street. The Hungarian caption names the building as the palace of the FORMER Ban's office and calls the city Ujvidek, language that returned during the Hungarian occupation after the Kingdom of Yugoslavia's banovina administration ended in 1941.
