# Air photo of the city

Taken from higher than the 72 metre tower of the Name of Mary church, whose spire and cross are seen from above. Tram rails curve across the open paving and round the corner of the banded modernist block of the Tanurdžić Palace of 1933; the Novi Sad tram was lifted in 1958, so the rails have little life left in them. The bronze Miletić figure throws a long shadow, and beyond the old tiled roofs new flat-roofed blocks stand along the Danube.
