# The Serbian Teachers' Hostel

The lettering names the building as the Serbian teachers' hostel rather than by the name it later carried, so the card catches an earlier tenancy. It appears twice, in Cyrillic and in a Latin transliteration with no Hungarian at all, which is the two-script format of the Yugoslav years after 1918. The street outside is unpaved and carries no motor traffic, which favours the 1920s.
