# The Prince Tomislav bridge lit at night

A long exposure looking along the Danube at night. The steel bridge runs from the upper left corner down across the frame on its piers, its trusses picked out against a black sky by a line of lamps set along the parapet, each burning into a soft halo. Under the far end a lit quay shows a low white building and a row of moored craft lie against the near bank in the dark, one of them carrying a light of its own. The whole of the lower half of the picture is the river, still enough to carry the lamps down in long unbroken columns of reflection, and a lit buoy or marker stands mid stream. The print is scratched and speckled and its corners have gone dark.
