# The long street toward the church spire

A wide unmade street runs away from the camera, and at its far end the slim neo-Gothic spire of the Name of Mary Church rises over the rooftops, with a dome to its left. On the left a low single storey range with a tiled roof has a shop under a signboard lettered FÜRY IMRE, and beyond it stands a taller house with a sculpted figure on its parapet. Lattice poles with two crossarms of insulators carry overhead wires down that side of the street. On the right a long two storey building with banded rustication and round headed ground floor windows fills the frame, giving way to lower houses and shopfronts. In the middle distance a herd of cattle is driven up the road toward the camera with two drovers beside it, people stand on both pavements, and children in the left foreground look at the camera.
