# The Bishop's Court at Novi Sad, with a New Year greeting

The Serbian Orthodox Bishop's Court stands beyond a tall stone cross, at the end of a tree-lined square filled with horse carts, market stalls and pedestrians in early-1900s dress. No motor vehicle or tram appears anywhere in the scene. The caption at top gives the building's name in Serbian Cyrillic alongside the city's Serbian and Hungarian names, and a sender has written a Hungarian New Year's greeting across the lower part of the front of the card rather than on the reverse.
