# A Novi Sad Square with an Insurance Company Building

A busy square with a Baroque plague or Holy Trinity column at left and a large Historicist building at center bearing a sign for a farmers' insurance cooperative and further shop signs including one reading Grosz-Lazits. A traffic policeman in a white uniform stands in the middle of the square, and overhead tram wires cross above the street. The photograph was issued for a Hungarian state tobacco retailer in the city, an outlet that could only operate under Hungarian administration, but nothing else in the scene narrows this further between the two periods when that was true.
