# A tram in front of the baths

A tram waits before the municipal artesian bath, its current collector raised to the overhead wire on a bracket pole. Behind a low garden the domed bath house rises over awnings that shade the tables on its terrace, and figures in dark clothes stand by a kiosk at the right. The caption gives the town and the bath in Hungarian first and in Serbian Cyrillic second, the order used while the town was part of Hungary, so the card is from before 1918. The tram puts it no earlier than 1911, when the town's electric trams began to run. Both languages call the place the artesian bath, the name of the early cards; later Serbian cards call it the iodine bath.
