# Crowd outside Privredna banka Vojvodine

A crowd of men in coats and hats gathers on the pavement outside the bank, whose fascia carries the name ПРИВРЕДНА БАНКА ВОЈВОДИНЕ in Cyrillic capitals above a row of arched windows fitted with ornamental metal security grilles. Two young women in below-knee skirts and low heels walk past in the foreground, seemingly unconnected to the crowd at the entrance, and the grilles are shut across most of the windows. The premises are those of the former Trgovačka i obrtna banka at Kralja Aleksandra 17, documented before the Second World War as standing beside the Armenian Church. Privredna banka Vojvodine took over its premises and capital after the war, and in 1955 was succeeded by Komunalna banka, whose name later attached to the same building. Why the crowd is there is not established by the photograph or by any source found.
