# Crossing the Danube, the fortress opposite

Soldiers on foot and motorcycles cross a low pontoon bridge on wooden decking, a tracked military vehicle waiting its turn on the ramp in the foreground. Petrovaradin Fortress, its long barracks range and earthworks, rises on the opposite bank. Dated only 1941.
