# A crowd outside the Branik house

A row of tall shopfronts stands under a long classical facade, a striped awning out over the pavement and a crowd of thirty or more, mostly men and boys, packed under and beside it, some carrying baskets. The fascias are lettered in Cyrillic, one reading Branik over an arched doorway and a longer sign running above the awning.
