# The City Hall

A hand-coloured card with no caption printed on the picture side. There are no rails in the setts and no overhead wire, so this is before the electric tram of 1911; the traffic is a rank of hooded fiacres and a farm cart. A market of striped and plain awnings has been set up under the arcaded ground floor, the four corner domes and the balconied central tower are as built, and the men standing about on the paving are in dark overcoats and bowlers.
