# Mileticeva in the nineteen seventies

A colour view along a narrow city street on a bright day, the shaded flank of a building filling the left edge. A crowd of people crosses the road on a zebra crossing in the foreground, men in wide flared trousers and open shirts, a woman in a short striped dress, another in a long patterned skirt, one man carrying a bag at his side. Small saloon cars are parked nose in along both kerbs, an orange one nearest the camera, with more strung out up the street. The right hand side is a terrace of older houses, their stucco discoloured and patched, shop signs projecting from the ground floors and a shopfront with a bright fascia and a poster board standing at the near corner. Further up, a large numeral is fixed high on a pale gable, and beyond it rises the drum and dome of a church with a standing figure on its lantern.
